Can the creativity and hope that make us so human allow us a better future, or in our quest for progress will we end up at the mercy of our own inventions?
A man show supported by digital media, this piece seeks to combine physical performance, digital scenography and motion capture, in order to question just where our technological advances are leading us.
In a dark room with a checkerboard floor, a man prepares to enter the fray. He knows not yet what awaits him.
As soon as he steps onto the chessboard,
he finds himself caught up in a game of which he is not the master and whose rules he struggles to understand. Gradually he realises his condition: that of a mere pawn, a disposable piece, so quickly sacrificed, with limited
movements but infinite potential. Each loss, begins a new game. His struggle is now to break the cycle, to reach the endgame and escape his prison..
